ABOUT THE START
IRONSTAR is the largest triathlon series in Russia. Every year, about 10 thousand athletes start in unique locations, test their strength, travel to interesting places and get charged with the energy of new achievements.
To overcome oneself — this meaning has always attracted people with an ambitious character. They are looking for new challenges to test their capabilities. And the more difficult the path, the more emotions at the finish. The opportunity to prove that you can do more awakens drive and motivation.
IRONSTAR festivals are always a great party! Thousands of successful and energized people gather in one place. They communicate with friends, make new acquaintances, find business partners, compete in races and make plans for future starts.
Triathlon is a synergy of sports and tourism. In addition to competitions, participants come with their families to relax comfortably, visit beautiful places, attractions, and have an interesting time with friends.
LOCATION
"Sirius" is the first federal territory in Russia created on the basis of the Sochi 2014 Olympic facilities. The territory is located on the Black Sea coast in the Imeretinskaya Lowland, surrounded by the Caucasus Mountains and a unique nature reserve. A beautiful embankment stretches along the sea for 7 km.

STARTING POINT
The starting town and the EXPO zone are located at the following address: Sochi, Adler district, Sirius urban settlement, Morskoy Boulevard 1 and 1a. The area next to the Alpha Sirius and Radisson Blu Resort & Congress Centre Sochi hotels.
TIME LIMIT
1.93 km swim: 1 hour 10 minutes
1.93 km swim + T1 + 90 km bike: 5 hours 10 minutes
Total time limit (swimming + T1 + bike + T2 + running): 8 hours from the start
DRAFTING IS PROHIBITED IN THE BIKE STAGE
The distance between two participants on the 113 course must be at least 12 meters. The overtaking time is 25 seconds. The penalty for violating the drafting rules is 5 minutes.

ELITE CATEGORY
This category includes the strongest athletes who have met the distance standards over the past 3 years, as well as pro license holders. In these cases, you are automatically included in the Elite. A corresponding signature appears next to your last name on the website in the list of competition participants.
If you met the standard at third-party competitions, to be included in the Elite, you need to send a link to your protocol in the feedback form.

FIND A TEAM OR A PARTICIPANT IN A RELAY
A relay is a great opportunity to try yourself in triathlon if you don't feel ready to go the entire distance. Team up with friends and participate together. If you are a swimmer, cyclist or runner, show your best qualities as part of a team.
If you don't have enough participants for a relay or you are looking for a team, leave a request in the form on the website.

REQUIREMENTS TO DOCUMENTS
To be admitted to the start and receive a starter pack, the ORIGINALS of the following documents are required:

Passport

Medical certificate of admission to the competition (more about the requirements for the certificate and a sample).

Sports insurance with included risks "triathlon" with a minimum coverage of 1 million rubles. Insurance can be issued when registering for the start or after purchasing a slot in the My competitions section in your personal account.

Permission from parents for participants under 18 years of age (print out a sample and fill out the permission in advance to quickly receive the starter pack).

Power of attorney, if the participant has instructed a third party to pick up the starter pack. The recipient must have a full package of documents on hand to be admitted to the start.
A power of attorney can be issued in two ways.
1. Electronic power of attorney.
In your personal account, check the box "Issue by power of attorney" and fill in the recipient's details. The recipient will say that they have an electronic power of attorney when presenting documents at the registration desk.
2. Paper power of attorney
Print and fill out the sample. The recipient will present the power of attorney at the registration desk along with other documents.

GIFT CERTIFICATE
The IRONSTAR certificate is a great gift for a loved one, friend or colleague. Just indicate the amount of the certificate, and the recipient of the gift will be able to choose the start on which to spend it.
RETURN AND EXCHANGE OF THE SLOT:
Refunds are made to the internal balance of the personal account in the amount of 75% of the cost of the slot. It is not possible to withdraw money from the personal account. Funds from the internal balance can be used to purchase any slot on the website www.iron-star.com
Transferring a slot to a third party is possible through your personal account. More details in the FAQ section “Registration/Exchange.Return”
Exchange, return and transfer of a slot are closed at the same time as registration is closed — 16 days before the start.
