LOCATION
Luzhniki is the largest sports complex in Russia and Europe, including Large and Small sports arenas, a Sports Palace, swimming pools, gyms and playgrounds, a park area with sculptures and commemorative signs, and a museum of sports history.
STARTING POINT
The launch site is located at 24c23 Luzhniki St., Moscow, the square near the entrance pavilion 1A.
The EXPO zone is the square at the entrance of Pavilion 1A.
Swimming stage — in the indoor pool (50 m) Luzhniki Water Sports Palace.
Bike stage — along Luzhniki St., Luzhnetskaya and Frunzenskaya embankments.
The running stage is along the alleys of the Luzhniki Sports Complex and the pedestrian zone (running track with silicone coating) of Luzhniki St. and Luzhnetskaya Embankment in 1 circle.
ABOUT THE DISTANCE
IRONSTAR 1/8 — 0.38 km swimming, 20 km cycling, 5 km running.
The participants start in waves of 60 people each.
The participants start one after the other with an interval of 10 seconds.
Men and women start separately from each other in their waves.
The interval between wave starts is 20 minutes.
SWIMMING STAGE
The swimming stage takes place in the indoor swimming pool of the Luzhniki aquatic complex.
The length of the stage is 380 meters.
The participant must swim through all 8 designated sections of the swimming stage, which are marked with a buoy at the end of each swimming lane.
When passing a turn, the buoy should be on the left or right hand side in accordance with the route layout.
It is forbidden to push off the side or bottom of the pool with your feet during the course.
During the competition, participants can overtake each other on the left side.
When overtaking, it is forbidden to swim onto a section of highway with oncoming traffic.
The use of wetsuits and individual swimming buoys is prohibited.
Participants registered from 13.04 to 18.04 fall into the last waves.
CYCLING STAGE
The distance is 20 km along Luzhnetskaya and Frunzenskaya embankments to Pushkin Bridge.
DRAFTING
In an individual format, drafting is allowed within same-sex participants.
Drafting is prohibited between men and women.
RUNNING STAGE
Running along the alleys of the Luzhniki Sports Complex and the pedestrian zone (along the tartan path) of Luzhniki St. and Luzhnetskaya Embankment in 1 circle.
The distance is 5 km.
Start from Luzhniki St. in front of pavilion 1E.
TIME LIMIT
Swimming 380 m — 16 minutes.
Swimming 380 m + T1 + cycling 20 km — 1 hour 16 minutes.
The total limit (swimming + T1 + cycling + T2 + running) is 2 hours 01 minutes from the start.

ELITE CATEGORY
This category includes the strongest athletes who have met the distance standards over the past 3 years, as well as pro license holders. In these cases, you are automatically included in the Elite. A corresponding signature appears next to your last name on the website in the list of competition participants.
If you met the standard at third-party competitions, to be included in the Elite, you need to send a link to your protocol in the feedback form.

FIND A TEAM OR A PARTICIPANT IN A RELAY
A relay is a great opportunity to try yourself in triathlon if you don't feel ready to go the entire distance. Team up with friends and participate together. If you are a swimmer, cyclist or runner, show your best qualities as part of a team.
If you don't have enough participants for a relay or you are looking for a team, leave a request in the form on the website.
REQUIREMENTS TO DOCUMENTS
To be admitted to the start and receive a starter pack, the ORIGINALS of the following documents are required:

Medical certificate of admission to the competition (more about the requirements for the certificate and a sample).

Sports insurance with included risks "triathlon" with a minimum coverage of 1 million rubles. Insurance can be issued when registering for the start or after purchasing a slot in the My competitions section in your personal account.

Permission from parents for participants under 18 years of age (print out a sample and fill out the permission in advance to quickly receive the starter pack).

Power of attorney, if the participant has instructed a third party to pick up the starter pack. The recipient must have a full package of documents on hand to be admitted to the start.
A power of attorney can be issued in two ways.
1. Electronic power of attorney.
In your personal account, check the box "Issue by power of attorney" and fill in the recipient's details. The recipient will say that they have an electronic power of attorney when presenting documents at the registration desk.
2. Paper power of attorney
Print and fill out the sample. The recipient will present the power of attorney at the registration desk along with other documents.
Carefully study the requirements for documents for admission to the start.
GIFT CERTIFICATE
The IRONSTAR certificate is a great gift for a loved one, friend or colleague. Just indicate the amount of the certificate, and the recipient of the gift will be able to choose the start on which to spend it.
RETURN AND EXCHANGE OF THE SLOT:
Refunds are made to the internal balance of the personal account in the amount of 75% of the cost of the slot. It is not possible to withdraw money from the personal account. Funds from the internal balance can be used to purchase any slot on the website www.iron-star.com
Transferring a slot to a third party is possible through your personal account. More details in the FAQ section “Registration/Exchange.Return”
Exchange, return and transfer of a slot are closed at the same time as registration is closed — 16 days before the start.
