Our participant Clodagh Nugent was the best woman at our indoor start in the February, 18. She will also took part in the next competition and then — in "half-iron" triathlon in Sochi in June, 3. Here's the video where she's telling about her experience.
Clodagh is irish but she has been living in Moscow for two years now. In August 2015 she took part in her first ever triathlon, Olympic distance, with no coaching or any real training — she decided she wanted to do a triathlon and just went for it!
"I then fell in love the sport, got myself a coach and in August 2016 I took part in my first Ironman 70.3 distance, in Dublin, Ireland with the support of my family and friends. I knew people who were attending last years Sochi but I was too late to register so this year I made sure I entered. I have even persuaded a few friends to join me, some of them doing the olympic distance and some of them doing the half distance in a relay team".
"I'm really looking forward to going to Sochi in June as I have never been and I absolutely love Moscow in the summertime", — said Clodagh.
