On October 6, we invite you to the IRONSTAR SPRINT triathlon competition in Sirius (Sochi).

ABOUT THE START

IRONSTAR is Russia's largest series of triathlon starts. Every year, about 10 thousand athletes start in unique locations, test themselves for strength, travel to interesting places and are energized by new achievements.
To overcome oneself is the meaning that attracts people with an ambitious character at all times. They are looking for new challenges to test their capabilities. And the harder the path, the more emotions there are at the finish line. The opportunity to prove that you can do more awakens drive and motivation.
There is always a great party at IRONSTAR festivals! Thousands of successful and energized people gather in one place. They communicate with friends, make new acquaintances, find business partners, compete in races and make plans for future starts.
Triathlon is a synergy of sports and tourism. In addition to competitions, participants come with their families to relax comfortably, visit beautiful places, sights, and have fun with friends.

LOCATION

Sirius is the first federal territory in Russia created on the basis of the Sochi 2014 Olympic Games facilities. The territory is located on the Black Sea coast in the Imereti lowland, surrounded by the Caucasus Mountains and a unique nature reserve. A beautiful promenade stretches along the sea for 7 km.

STARTING POINT

The launch site and the EXPO zone are located at Sochi, Adler district, village. Sirius, Marine Boulevard 1 and 1a. The area next to the Alfa Sirius and Radisson Blu Resort & Congress Centre Sochi hotels.

The swimming stage in the waters of the Imereti port of the Black Sea, protected from waves and currents by two jetties. The water in the bay is 2 degrees warmer than in the open sea. The temperature range is usually from 17 to 23 degrees. Athletes start from the pier (rolling start), and fans can watch them throughout the entire distance.

The bike ride is stunning in its beauty on a perfectly flat surface. The route starts at the coast, and then goes into the mountains along the Adler — Krasnaya Polyana Olympic highway. You will have a smooth ascent with a climb up to 130 m, and then a downhill.

THE "ELITE" CATEGORY

The strongest athletes who have met the distance standards over the past 3 years, as well as holders of pro licenses, perform in this category. In these cases, you get into the "Elite" automatically. A corresponding signature appears next to your last name on the website of the participants of the competition.

If you have met the standard in third-party competitions, to get into the "Elite" you need to send a link to your protocol in the feedback form.

men, women 25 — 29 years old;
men, women 30 — 34 years old;
men, women 35 — 39 years old;
men, women 40 — 44 years old;
men, women 45 — 49 years old;

SEARCH FOR A TEAM OR PARTICIPANT IN THE RELAY

The relay race is a great opportunity to try yourself in triathlon if you don't feel ready to go the whole distance. Team up with friends and participate together. If you are a swimmer, cyclist or runner, show your best qualities as part of a team.

If you do not have enough participants for the relay race or you are looking for a team, leave a request in the form on the website.

ASSIGNING NUMBERS

We have changed the procedure for assigning numbers. Previously, numbers were assigned at the time of registration. In the new season, you will be registered for the race without a number, and you will learn it closer to the start. We will inform you about this later.

CYCLING STAGE DRAFTING IS PROHIBITED

The distance between the two participants at the SPRINT distance must be at least 10 meters. The time to overtake is 20 seconds. The penalty for violating the rules of the draft is 1 minute.

REQUIREMENTS FOR DOCUMENTS

The following documents are required for admission to the start and receipt of the starter package:

Identification card
A medical certificate of admission to competitions (more information about the requirements for the certificate and a sample)
National license or an insurance policy including triathlon risks (valid in the territory of the Russian Federation) with coverage of at least 1 million rubles
A power of attorney, if the participant has instructed a third party to pick up his starter package
Parental permission for a participant under the age of 18 (print out the sample and fill out the permission in advance to get the starter package faster)

AWARDING

According to the results of the competition, winners and prize-winners in absolute and age groups (men and women), relay teams and paraathletes will be awarded.

ALL STARS RATING

Participate in the IRONSTAR Festival competitions and get rating points for each race. Detailed information is available on the ALL STARS rating page.

GIFT CERTIFICATE

The IRONSTAR certificate is a great gift for a loved one, friend or colleague. Just specify the amount of the certificate, and the recipient of the gift will be able to choose the start on which to spend it.

YOUR PHOTOS FROM THE START

A team of professional photographers helps to preserve all the highlights of the festival. This is a great opportunity to get cool high-quality pictures for memory. You will find them by their starting number or last name on the photo page after the race.

RETURN AND EXCHANGE OF THE SLOT:

The refund is made to the internal balance of the personal account in the amount of 75% of the slot value. You cannot withdraw money from your personal account. Funds from the internal balance can be used to purchase any slot on the site www.iron-star.com
Transfer of the slot to a third party is possible through your personal account. For more information, see the FAQ section “Registration/Exchange.Refund”
The exchange, refund and transfer of the slot are closed at the same time as the registration closes — 16 days before the start.
