ABOUT THE START
SWIMSTAR swims will diversify your training and help you get new bright impressions. After short and boring sections in the pool, you will discover perspective, feel a sense of adventure before a difficult distance and joy after overcoming it.
SWIMSTAR DOUBLE MILE RELAY — a relay race format for two people, where each participant covers an equal section of the distance — 1852 m. The relay (timing chip) is handed over in the relay cluster on the shore.
If you are an experienced swimmer or used to swim in a sports school in your youth, then SWIMSTAR swims will bring the spirit of competition and excitement of competition back into your life. SWIMSTAR swims are a great opportunity to combine starts with travel. The IRONSTAR festival program is organized taking into account the tourist interests of the participants. On the competition weekend, you will be able to visit local attractions and relax in memorable places.
LOCATION
"Sirius" is the first federal territory in Russia created on the basis of the Sochi 2014 Olympic facilities. The territory is located on the Black Sea coast in the Imeretinskaya Lowland, surrounded by the Caucasus Mountains and a unique nature reserve. A beautiful embankment stretches along the sea for 7 km.

STARTING POINT
The starting town and the EXPO zone are located at the following address: Sochi, Adler district, Sirius urban settlement, Morskoy Boulevard 1 and 1a. The area is next to the Alpha Sirius and MANTERA RESORT & CONGRESS 5* hotels (former Radisson Blu Resort & Congress Centre Sochi).
The swim will take place in the waters of the Imeretinsky port of the Black Sea, protected from waves and currents by two moles. The water in the bay is 2 degrees warmer than in the open sea. The temperature range is usually from 17 to 23 degrees. Athletes start from the pier (rolling start), and fans can watch them throughout the entire distance.

WETSUITS
Wetsuits are permitted at water temperatures up to 24.6 degrees.
The thickness of the wetsuit must not exceed 5 mm. If the wetsuit consists of two items, the total thickness of the overlapping items must not exceed the thickness limit of 5 mm.
Any means of movement that may give an advantage to the athlete or pose a danger to other athletes are prohibited.
The outer part of the wetsuits must fit the athlete's body while swimming.
The wetsuit may cover any part of the athlete's body except the face, hands and feet.
There are no restrictions on the length of the zipper.
The use of wetsuit pants and wetsuit shorts without a top is permitted.
REQUIREMENTS TO DOCUMENTS
To be admitted to the start and receive a starter pack, the ORIGINALS of the following documents are required:

Medical certificate of admission to the competition (more about the requirements for the certificate and a sample).

Medical insurance with included risks "swimming" with a minimum coverage of 350 thousand rubles. Insurance can be issued when registering for the start or after purchasing a slot in the My competitions section in your personal account.

Permission from parents for participants under 18 years old (print out a sample and fill out the permission in advance to quickly receive the starter pack).

Power of attorney, if the participant has instructed a third party to pick up the starter pack. The recipient must have a full package of documents on hand to be admitted to the start.
A power of attorney can be issued in two ways.
1. Electronic power of attorney.
In your personal account, check the box "Issue by power of attorney" and fill in the recipient's details. The recipient will say that they have an electronic power of attorney when presenting documents at the registration desk.
2. Paper power of attorney
Print and fill out the sample. The recipient will present the power of attorney at the registration desk along with other documents.

AWARDING
Participants in the following categories will be awarded commemorative symbols:
Men's teams that took 1-3 places in the overall standings;
Women's teams that took 1-3 places in the overall standings;
Mixed teams that took 1-3 places in the overall standings;
ALL STARS RATING

GIFT CERTIFICATE
The IRONSTAR certificate is a great gift for a loved one, friend or colleague. Just indicate the amount of the certificate, and the recipient of the gift will be able to choose the start on which to spend it.
RETURN AND EXCHANGE OF THE SLOT:
Refunds are made to the internal balance of the personal account in the amount of 75% of the cost of the slot. It is not possible to withdraw money from the personal account. Funds from the internal balance can be used to purchase any slot on the website www.iron-star.com
Transferring a slot to a third party is possible through your personal account. More details in the FAQ section “Registration/Exchange.Return”
Exchange, return and transfer of a slot are closed at the same time as registration is closed — 16 days before the start.
